The foundation and crawl space beneath this Charlotte home were exposed to the region's typical Piedmont clay cycle: seasonal swelling with rain and shrinkage during drought, a pattern that stresses wooden framing and allows moisture infiltration. The BEFORE photos revealed exposed wooden beams and joists settling on the concrete foundation wall, paired with visible concrete displacement and drainage concerns at the exterior patio and driveway. These conditions signaled the need for comprehensive moisture control and structural support stabilization.
HydroHelp911 installed crawl space encapsulation with a reinforced poly vapor barrier system, interior drainage piping along the foundation perimeter, and a dehumidifier to manage ongoing moisture. The crew also performed deep injections and completed insulation work with fiberglass batts installed above the structural framing. The finished crawl space now provides a dry, conditioned buffer between the earth and the home's wooden structure, with the exterior drainage system visible in the completed landscape. The project was documented across 6 site visits with 151 on-site photos and a 3-member crew.
